DEL MAR, California, Mar. 12, 2016–Steffen Peters and Legolas won the Dressage Affaire CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle Saturday to keep alive their record of always winning in 26 starts in California over four years.

Steffen and the 14-year-old Westfalen gelding, ranked No. 6 in the world, scored 82.000 per cent for the win a day after taking the Grand Prix.

“Another great freestyle for Legolas,” Steffen told dressage-news.com. “I hope I can keep him this calm for the rest of the season. Even the walk was very relaxed today.

“Legolas did two tests without a mistake in the flying changes. I’m very proud of him.”

Kimberly McGrath of Redlands, California on Winslow was second on 74.002 per cent and Jan Ebeling of Moorpark, California on FRH Rassolini third on 72.025 per cent in the Freestyle that had only three combinations.
