Olympic Qualifications Confirms Team for Denmark But One Individual Unconfirmed

Denmark was confirmed Thursday with a team of four combinations for the summer Olympic Games but one individual place that initially appeared to have been won by Ukraine was still “to be confirmed.”


The list of nations awarded starting places in Rio de Janeiro was released by the FEI, International Equestrian Federation, Thursday, four days after the qualification deadline and two days after confirmation of the jumping and eventing qualifiers.


A last-minute crush of shows–a total of 12–were staged around the world in the two weeks before the Mar. 6 qualification deadline including three in Lier, Belgium where the Ukraine’s Inna Logutenkova on Don Gregorius appeared to have earned enough ranking points to qualify.


The FEI Olympic qualification system confirmed 59 of 60 slots for dressage. They are:
