BIARRITZ, France, Oct. 15, 2016–Sascha Shulz rode Luizao to victory in the CDI3* Grand Prix Special in the first international competition for the partnership.
Sascha of Luxembourg and the 14-year-old Holsteiner gelding scored 71.216 per cent for the win. Luizao was previously competed by Wibke Bruns of Germany.
Russia's Tatiana Miloserdova on Awakening scored a personal best 71.196 per cent for second place with Spain's Sergio Martin Palos on Altaneiro third on 70.471 per cent.
America's Kathy Priest on Wild Dancer also posted a personal best 69.000 per cent to place fourth.
Kathy of Versailles, Kentucky competed the 13-year-old KWPN mare in their second European Big Tour event this summer. The pair began CDI Grand Prix on the 2015 Florida winter circuit after Small Tout in 2012/2013.
