Deutsche Bank Renews Sponsorship of Aachen CHIO

AACHEN, Germany, Sept. 2, 2016–Deutsche Bank and the the CHIO World Equestrian Equestrian Festival have renewed their partnership of more than six decades.


The agreement to extend sponsorship that began in 1955 for three more years make it the bank's longest-standing commitment to sport.


Thorsten Strauss, Deutsche Bank's Global Head of Art, Culture & Sport, said: “CHIO Aachen has evolved into an important platform for the bank for encounters with clients and business partners. The continuation of our sponsorship also comes at the right point in time because we are currently making an even greater commitment to nurturing aspiring young riders through our Deutsche Bank Equestrian Sport Academy, which was initiated this year.”


 


Deutsche Bank is the partner of the Dressage Grand Prix at Aachen that is staged in the Deutsche Bank Stadium built in 1999.


Through its Deutsche Bank Equestrian Sport Academy initiative, the bank supports 10 young dressage talents every year providing financial support for individual training and travel to tournaments.
