SALZBURG, Austria, Dec. 5, 2015–Isabell Werth rode Don JohnsonFRH , her European Championship German team medal mount, to victory Saturday in the Grand Prix at this first ever World Cup event in Austria.

Isabell and the 14-year-old Hanoverian gelding, ranked No. 4 in the world, scored 77.670 per cent to post their seventh win of the year.

The Netherlands’ Edward Gal on Glock’s Voice placed second on 77.040 per cent with Jessica von Bredow-Werndl on Unee BB, team mates of Isabell and Don Johnson ar the Europeans and bronze medal winner at the World Cup Final in Las Vegas in April, in third on 76.100 per cent.

This Amadeus Horse Indoor event is the fifth of nine Western European League qualifiers for the Final of the annual world championship scheduled for Gothenburg, Sweden at the end of March. The Freestyle is scheduled for Sunday.
