RIO DE JANEIRO, Aug. 10, 2016–An “incident” occurred at the Olympic dressage stables Wednesday morning just hours after a media bus in the same Deodoro sports complex was attacked. A bullet was reportedly found in a stall, but it is not known whether it was fired or had been placed there.
No horse or person was injured in the incident, according to an official spokesperson, but said security was being increased.
Few details were available and, as is normal at Olympics, many areas of the facility are off limits to media and spectators.
A media bus that had been shuttling reporters and photographers to and from the rugby sevens was attacked–a rock apparently smashing one window and what could have been a bullet shattering a second window.
The bullet, the source of which has not yet been determined, came through the roof of the equestrian media tent earlier in the Games.
