USA Olympic Prospects of 9 Horses, 7 Riders Named for European Tour

The United States squad of nine horses and seven riders to go to Europe to compete for places on The Dutta Corp. dressage team for the summer Olympic Games was announced by the U.S. Equestrian Federation Monday.

Laura Graves, 28 years old of Plymouth, Florida and Verdades, her 14-year-old KWPN gelding (Florett AS x Goya). World Ranking: 13 USA Olympic Ranking :1

Career highlights: 2014 World Equestrian Games; 2015 World Cup Final; 2015 (team gold, individual silver) Pan American Games; 2015 U.S. Grand Prix champion.

Robert Dover is the Technical Advisor and Chef d'Equipe.


The Americans will be based in Retie, Belgium and compete at the Compiègne, France CDI3*/CDIO5* Nations Cup May 19-22; Roosendaal, Netherlands CDI3* June 1-5 and the Rotterdam, Netherlands CDI3*/CDIO5* Nations Cup June 22-26.


Four combinations plus a reserve will be named to the Olympic team after Rotterdam.


Some may compete at the CDI4*/CDIO5* Nations Cup in Aachen, Germany July 11-17 before going directly to Rio de Janeiro for the Olympic dressage competition Aug. 8-15.
