The inaugural Under-25 European Championships have been switched to Hagen from Ankum in Germany, but the date remains the same at June 16-19, a week after the youth Nations Cup competition also at Hagen.

The FEI, International Equestrian Federation, said Monday the change was made “for organizational reasons and in order to offer the best possible conditions for the competitors.'  A scarcity of hotel rooms in the Ankum area was one reason cited by some national federations.

Hagen is the venue for the annual Horses & Dreams international event in spring as well as the Nations Cups tournament for ponies, children, junior and young riders June 7-12.
