All Olympic Dressage, Eventing, Jumping Places Confirmed by National Federations–FEI

All starting places allocated for horse sports including a record of 60 for dressage at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro this summer were confirmed by national federations by the deadline, the FEI, International Equestrian Federation, reported Sunday

The starting places are a record 60 for dressage, up from 50 at the 2012 London Games, for a total of 250 for the three Olympic disciplines of dressage, eventing and jumping. Jumping received 75 and eventing 65.

Starting places were earned over the past two years at championships and special events as well as rankings determined partly for Olympic geographic groups and partly by world standings.

The confirmed lineup for Rio does not mean all places allocated to nations will be filled by those countries as each combination needs to meet Minimum Eligibility Requirements (two scores of at least 64 per cent for dressage). The deadline for achieving those scores is June 19, but most have already done so.

The Olympic dressage lineup as confirmed by national federations is:

–Denmark (“composite” team through qualifying four individuals in Olympic group and world rankings)

Allocations for starting places are made to the nation and not individuals that won the place so in most cases individual combinations are competing to win places on their country's team or fill individual slots.

The deadline for entries is July 18.
